Responsibilities and Tasks
We offer you a unique chance to participate in the development of a new investigative operation within the state.
As an auditor with us, you will work on everything from simpler audits to more complex investigations. You need to be skilled at planning, gathering, processing, and analyzing data from various sources, as well as visualizing and communicating a summary of your work. In parallel with the review of suspected incorrect payments, you will participate in efforts to ensure an efficient and legally secure auditing function at the authority. Your tasks will include driving and participating in continuous method and operational development of the auditing operation. Regular dialogue and collaboration with other authorities are necessary in this work.
The role is located in the Department of Data Analysis and Auditing, Audit Unit. The department's mission is to prevent, stop, and detect incorrect payments from the state welfare systems.
We are looking for someone who has
- A university degree that the employer deems relevant for the position
- At least three years of current work experience in control, investigation, or supervisory work within taxation or welfare areas in the state, municipality, or region
It is advantageous if you have
- Current work experience in pensions and unemployment insurance
- Work experience in investigative work within banking or finance
- Work experience in investigations concerning companies and other organizations
Desired Abilities and Skills
To succeed in the role of auditor at the Payment Authority, you are goal- and results-oriented, quality-conscious, and have good analytical skills. You are also structured, self-driven, and possess good communication and collaboration abilities.

The place of employment is in Stockholm. The authority is located in modern premises near Gullmarsplan. The position is classified in a security class, which requires Swedish citizenship. The position is a permanent full-time employment. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period. You may be assigned to the authority in times of crisis.
